Prints taken from etched steel plate.
Etching is part of the intaglio process of printmaking. Intaglio printing is a process where marks are incised into a surface where the ink is then held and a print is taken onto paper. In this case the surface used to create the marks and hold the ink is steel plate. Once inked the steel plate is covered with 300gsm paper and run through an etching press which pushes the ink from the steel plate onto the paper.
